HomeMate Handyman LLC respects your privacy and gives you control over how your personal information is collected, used, and shared. This page explains the choices available to you.
1. Opt Out of SMS Messages
If you have provided your phone number through our contact form and wish to stop receiving SMS messages from us, you have the following options:
- Reply STOP: Text STOP to any SMS message you receive from HomeMate Handyman LLC. You will be immediately unsubscribed from future messages.
- Reply HELP: Text HELP to any message for assistance with our SMS service.
- Call Us: Call (530) 364-4059 during business hours and request to be removed from our SMS list.
Opting out of SMS messages does not cancel any scheduled service or affect your right to receive service estimates. We may still contact you by phone call to discuss an active inquiry or scheduled appointment.
2. Control Cookies, Tracking & Google Analytics
Our website uses cookies, web beacons, pixels (including Meta Pixel and Google Tags), and Google Analytics with Google Signals enabled. You can control these through:
- Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to accept, reject, or delete cookies.
- Do Not Track: If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, we note it but do not currently alter our data collection practices in response.
- Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics.
- Google My Ad Center: Manage ads personalization via Google's My Ad Center.
- Opt-Out Tools: Use NAI or DAA opt-out pages for interest-based advertising.
Google Signals Notice: With Google Signals enabled, Google Analytics may collect data using advertising cookies and identifiers, associating visitation information with Google accounts of signed-in users who have consented for ads personalization purposes.
3. California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) give you the following rights:
- Right to Know/Access: You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purpose, and the third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., information needed to complete a transaction or comply with law).
- Right to Correct: You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. No action is needed on your part.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: You may request that we limit the use of your sensitive personal information to purposes permitted by law.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will receive the same quality of service and pricing regardless of whether you exercise these rights.
To submit a request, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days, or 90 days if an extension is necessary, as permitted by California law.
4. Other State Privacy Rights
If you reside in a state with consumer privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, or others), you may have similar rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of the processing of your personal information. The specific rights available to you depend on your state's laws. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.
